Participation in our NCI Array 2-day Microarray Workshop or in-lab training by a user
confirmed in our system is mandatory for new users prior to activation of your account.
Although microarrays are provided to intramural NCI investigators at cost, production
is an intricate and labor-intensive procedure. The Microarray workshop is designed
to ensure that the investigator will be able to use the microarrays properly and
effectively to receive the highest benefit from the slides distributed.
Our workshops are held once a month and are filled according to registration date.
Approximately one month prior to your training, you will receive information regarding
the date, place of training, and items you will need to bring.
Upon registration, a training kit will automatically be entered into our system at a
cost of $650.00. The kit will consist of microarrays and reagents to complete one
in-class hybridization and two hybridizations when you return to your lab to develop
the techniques learned in class.
Everyone attending the workshop must be registered in the ArrayTracker system
and scheduled to attend for that date. Due to space limitations, we schedule no more
than two individuals per PI's lab for one training course. If you would like to
attend with a particular lab mate, please email us at nciarrays-r@mail.nih.gov and
we will do our best to schedule you both for the same date. Individuals representing
the same PI will be working together on a single array experiment during the
workshop.
Upon completion of the workshop, your ArrayTracker account will be activated and
you will be able to order Expression Microarrays online.
Please Note - in order for our system to process your
request, your PI must already be listed in our database.

In Lab Training:
An account can be activated for investigators trained in their lab by an experienced
user who has been confirmed in our system. Your PI can verify your training by sending
us an email with the name of the person conducting the training (with the month and
year of their training) and the date the in-lab training was completed. Please
email nciarrays-r@mail.nih.gov.
If you have already completed array training and would like to establish an account
in the ArrayTracker system, please email nciarrays-r@mail.nih.gov. Please include
your name, PI, mailing address, telephone number, and month and year of training.
Please note:
We are a NCI Core Facility. Our services are available to intramural NCI investigators only and are currently unavailable to investigators of other NIH institutes or extramural researchers.
If you currently have a microarray ordering account, but cannot remember
your password or the email account that you used to register, please
contact nciarrays-r@mail.nih.gov
to have your password reset. Please provide your name, address, phone,
and the name of your P.I.
